Daiso Holographic Polish

Today I'm going to show you my favourite pale pink/salmon coloured holo polish. I brought this nearly 2 years ago from a friend in Canada and I love it.

It is a scattered holo and as you can see from the pictures it has a pretty strong effect. I used 2 coats with no base coat and no topcoat.. (I was having a very lazy day). It dried within 10minutes.

I believe Daiso is a Japenes drugstore...but to be honest I really don't know much about this brand at all so don't quote me on it. This doesn't have a name but instead has a number.. the number to this particular colour is 3.

Pictures were taken with the camera flash on and my nails are longer because these picture were taken a long time ago.

 On to the pictures...

L'oreal Mysterious Icon 805

L'Oreal Mysterious Icon is a brownish/greyish/purplish polish with a gold shimmer. It is totally unlike any other polish I own in my stash and I have to say I am in love with this shade!!

The L'Oreal Color Riche polishes are very small with only 5ml of polish but they have super wide brushes and I'm surprised to say I actually liked these. I'm usually more of a thin brush kinda girl but these made application super easy!

I have on 2 coats of L'Oreal Mysterious Icon on top of 1 coat of Rejuvacote. I didn't end up using any top coat beacuse this dried very quickly. Only down side to these are they cost £4.99 for only 5ml.

On to the picture...

Macro shot
I really am like L'Oreal polishes at the moment and I have to say their formula is really good. If the price is too much you could always wait until there is a 3 for 2 offer on at Superdrugs or Boots.

Revlon Emerald City

Today's post I am showing a matte polish from Revlon called Emerald City.
It is a emerald green colour with a shimmer and drys matte. I found the formula really easy to work with ad there wast much dragging which matte polishes have a tendency of doing. The matte finish isn't as strong as I expected but this still looked lovely and I really liked how it looked.

The finish reminds me of Manglaze polishes ad makes me wonder how close it is to Nawesome Sauce... unfortunately I don't have that so I can't do a comparison.

Lets take a look at the pictures...

Purple and Blue Animal Print

Today I have some animal print nail art. The idea for the colours I chose came from an outfit I have which has purple with blue spots. I thought the colour contrast was awesome and would lovely as a leopard print design.

It came out better than I expected...

Polishes I used:
Essie 3in1 Base
Nails Inc Chapel Street
Milani Fresh Teal
Max Factor Onyx
Seche Vite

To do the leopard print design I used a dotting tool and nail art brush. I chose an accent nail of black zebra print, I was thinking of using a stamping plate but felt it would flow with the other fingers so I painted it by hand using a fine nail art brush.

It is pretty simple to do but looks awesome!

EPIC Galaxy Nails!

Today I'm going to show you the nail art I am most proud of... Galaxy Nail Art!

So like it took me a while to decide how I was going to do this, there are so many amazing galaxy nails out there I just couldn't decide. But in the end I went for this....

Mattefied with Flash

With Topcoat On Top, No Flash
Polishes I used:
Max Factor Onyx
OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue
L'Oreal Rebel Blue
Barry M Blue Moon
Barry M Matte White
Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lightening
China Glaze Fairy Dust
17 Matte Topcoat
Seche Vite

I used a sponging for some parts, a fine nail art brush for the stars and a dotting tool for the different planets/stars.
In real life this looked amazing mattefied, I couldn't capture that in the pictures but it was much more awesome!
When I finished I was in love with it! I didn't want to take it off!

What do you think? Epic? Or is it just me who thinks it is?

Delicate Floral Print Nail Art

Today I have a very quick post of some floral nail art I did not so long ago.

This is supposed to look like roses but they didn't come out quite as I hoped but were very pretty none the less. All the detailing was done free hand using a fine nail art brush.

Apologies for the dry cuticles I forgot to put on some oil.

Polishes I used:
Essie 3in1 Base
Barry M Pale Pink
Barry M Bright Pink
Barry M Matte White
Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lickety-Split Lime
Seche Vite
